Know About Goddess Pratyangira-

Sri Maha Pratyangira Devi is a celestial force known for annihilating the arrogance of Sarabheswara, an ugra form of Lord Shiva. She is also known as Narasimhika and represents the fierce courage of a half-human, half-lioness. According to the Kalisahasranama Stotram, shaking her lion's mane causes stars to go out of alignment. The Pratyangira Suktam is featured in the Rig Veda's khila kandam, which extols her heavenly powers.

Types of Goddess Pratyangira Statues-

The statues of the deity have very few variants. She is generally portrayed in a fierce pose, exuding power and grace. Her lion-faced countenance, wide mouth, razor-sharp diamond teeth, and projecting tongue gleaming like the sun, illuminated and angry eyes radiating fire, and a dark blue complexion, and celestial aura exude strength, representing the triumphant spirit over hardship. Her four arms are seen holding a Trishul (trident), a Damru (hand drum), a noose-shaped snake, and a skull. The Brass, Bronze, and Copper statues are revered in personal worship spaces and temples and are preferred for their longevity whereas the wooden and stone statues are also revered but are rare.
