Goddess Saraswati is revered as the epitome of wisdom, knowledge, and the arts throughout the world. A special festival of Basant Panchami that appears in the month of Magh (January- February) is dedicated to her and worshipping her during this festival ensures the blessings of wisdom and creativity. She is known by different names like the Shwetapadma, Vagdevi, and Surasa, and is honored to gain command over various arts and knowledge forms. Types of Goddess Saraswati Statues-
Goddess Saraswati has been depicted in a variety of ways, all with the same enthusiasm. One of the most popular statues of the Goddess depicts her with four hands and sitting on a lotus. This is the chaturbhuj form of the Goddess where she holds the Veena with her two lower hands and her other two hands hold the Japamal (rosary) and Vedas (sacred texts). Another very significant depiction of her is in a standing posture wearing a pristine white attire and blessing her devotees in the Abhaya Mudra.
